The Greenville-Pitt County Convention & Visitors Bureau has developed a comprehensive complimentary convention services program designed to save both time and money for the host organization. The bureau is able to offer these services at no additional charge since a portion of the local hotel/motel occupancy tax funds the bureau’s activities.

Accommodations Arrangements

As a representative for all the hotels in the Greenville-Pitt County area, the bureau staff can serve as a non-biased source for accommodation information. After determining your meeting and lodging needs, the bureau will canvass area hotels and solicit availability, rates, menus, audio visual equipment, as well as other function information for your group. Once the bureau has obtained this information on your behalf, we will compile this information in proposal format and deliver it to you promptly.

Attendance promotion

The Convention & Visitors Bureau staff can assist with both layout and design of a promotional package that will help maximize attendance at your next meeting, event, or reunion. Staff can prepare and distribute specific information on Greenville-Pitt County that will be helpful to your attendees. Reciprocal links are available so attendees can access information over the web.


The Greenville-Pitt County Convention & Visitors Bureau maintains an extensive collection of brochures and maps on Greenville-Pitt County, Eastern North Carolina, as well as the entire state. Brochures and maps are available for distribution to your attendees and will be made available at the registration area. This same information is available through our website. Your attendees can request that a PDF version of our maps and visitors guide be sent directly to them in an electronic format.


Bureau staff can assemble an invitation package specialized for your group, including a letter of invitation or welcome from local dignitaries, promotional materials, and a summary of how Greenville and Pitt County can meet your organization’s needs.

Name Badges

The CVB staff provides complimentary printed name badges in a variety of formats. A list of names should be submitted two weeks prior to the event. The finished name badges are alphabetized and placed in registration cases for your convenience.


The Convention & Visitors Bureau maintains a media list that covers the state of North Carolina. The staff will prepare and distribute news releases as well as public service announcements to the appropriate media sources with the goal of increasing awareness and of your event, reunion or meeting. We also can facilitate preplanned radio and television appearances on local programming prior to your meeting or event date. Lastly, we would like to generate web presence for your meeting and establish a reciprocal link from your site to ours.

Registration Assistance

The Bureau staff can provide on-site registration assistance for your group during the busiest time of registration. Registration services include the use of complimentary cash boxes, maps, brochures, and calendar of event information for the Greenville area. Assistance is based on staff availability.

Services Liaison

The bureau can serve as a central contact for information on transportation, printing, floral, audiovisual, entertainment, as well as other services and rentals.

Tour & Event Coordination

Specialized tours and events can be arranged for your delegates and accompanying persons as part of your convention or reunion schedule. The Bureau staff can solicit bids from local bus companies, secure group rates and reservations from visitor attractions, and assist with arrangements for programs, receptions, and activities. Other off site activities such as golf or tennis tournaments that are part of your meeting itinerary can be coordinated through the Convention & Visitor Bureau office.
