Metalsmithing Basics for Advanced Youth

Grades 6 and upCreate your own unique jewelry with a found object from home or our studio! In this class we will use beginner level stone setting and hand fabrication to create your own jewelry piece. Students are introduced to essential bench tools, workspace, and techniques of a metalsmith or bench jeweler such as sawing, piercing, riveting, texture, and patina. You will learn how to combine several techniques and create a work of art that has meaning to you. No experience needed. [Min. 4, Max. 7]All materials included.
