PCCAHT welcomes Shield NC to January meeting

The Pitt County Coalition Against Human Trafficking will welcome Niki Miller, Director of Operations at Shield North Carolina, an anti-trafficking non-profit in Wake County, in recognition of National Human Trafficking Awareness and Prevention Month.Niki has served as a therapist to juvenile survivors of sexual abuse. She also had the responsibility of rehabilitating juvenile sex offenders through both group and individual therapy. Guiding both survivors and offenders on their journeys toward improved mental health has provided her with a unique understanding of the harmful cyclical nature of sexual abuse.The January meeting is slated for 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 16, at the Heart for ENC conference room on 1412 S. Evans St.
