Knee Deep Adventures is a proud LGBTQ+ Owned Business, and we are excited to be a part of Greenville-Pitt County Pride Month!Join us on June 22nd at 9am at Port Terminal Boat Launch for our Pride Paddle! This event is (as all of our events are) open to members of the LGBTQ+ community and our Allies! This is just one of many events during Pride Month celebrating all love and identities.Never paddled before? No problem! We will give a brief lesson on land prior to launching! Have your own kayak or SUP? Bring it and join us for a discounted rate! This event is an opportunity to gather with like-minded individuals and enjoy a summer morning together on the water! This group paddle will move at a leisurely pace, and we will have guides at the front and back of the pack to make sure no one gets left behind! We will provide the kayak (or SUP or Canoe) as well as a paddle, life jacket (we have sizes from infant to XXXL), and a dry box for your phone/wallet/keys! We recommend you bring a water or other hydrating beverage (no alcohol, save that for afterward), snacks if you'd like, sunglasses, a hat, and sunscreen. Be sure to wear clothes and shoes that can get wet. Our Pride Paddle is Dog Friendly, and we have plenty of dog life jackets in varying sizes! There are 2 wheelchair accessible parking spaces at Port Terminal, the kayak launch is wheelchair accessible, and we have 2 adaptive paddles if grip/hand strength is a concern. (Please let us know if you need one or if you'd like to try these out before an event!)Part of our mission at Knee Deep Adventures is to share the love of the outdoors and of the water with everyone! Spending time outdoors and on the Tar River brings us so much joy, and we want everyone to experience that in a safe environment that not only welcomes, but embraces and celebrates all identities, experiences, and backgrounds.
