GREENVILLE, NC- The Greenville-Pitt County Convention & Visitors Bureau (Visit Greenville, NC) is pleased to announce Ce’Nedra Dillard’s promotion to Sports Sales Manager for the Greenville-Pitt County Sports Commission (Play Greenville, NC Sports), as well as congratulate her on recently receiving her Sports Tourism Strategist designation.
“Ce’Nedra has done an outstanding job promoting Greenville-Pitt County as a premier sports destination across the Southeast United States,” states Andrew Schmidt, President & CEO of Visit Greenville, NC. “Attaining the STS certification has helped Ce’Nedra grow in her sports marketing knowledge, and I am happy that she will continue representing our sports commission in her new role as Sports Sales Manager.”
In this position, Dillard will continue her current responsibilities to identify, solicit, secure, and retain sports events for Play Greenville, NC Sports by self-generating leads, and participating in local, regional, and national travel, conferences, marketplaces, and conventions. In recent months, Dillard has been working to complete her Sports Tourism Strategist certification, through the Sports Events & Tourism Association’s (Sports ETA) Sports Tourism Learning Institute. This certification is a 32-hour program encompassing sports events and tourism education.
“I am thankful for the opportunity to advance my knowledge about the sports tourism industry by completing my Sports Tourism Strategist designation. Through cutting-edge education that covers many facets of this industry, such as crisis communication, event management, and business strategy, to name a few,” stated Dillard. “In my new role as Sports Sales Manager, I am excited to use these new skills to continue to play a part in the growth of sports tourism in Greenville-Pitt County.”
