The sweet small town of Fountain is located in the northwestern corner of Pitt County. Throughout the month make your way to Main Street for a visit to the R.A. Fountain General Store. This vintage and vinyl record lovers paradise is also a live music venue, hosting concerts featuring local musicians, nationally-recognized touring bluegrass, Americana, and jazz bands, spoken word poetry nights, and more! Enjoy a performance on one of the pews while sipping on a fresh-squeezed orange or lemonade, or some tasty homemade ice cream!

Pitt County’s only winery, Seven Pines Winery & Vineyard, is located nearby, and while it is not open for public tours just yet, you will find their delicious selection of wines available at many local restaurants and markets!

The nearby Falkland is home to the Bicycle Post Mountain Bike Trails and a public Tar River Boat/Kayak Access on the Tar River, which offers the opportunity for an 11-mile paddle downriver to the Greenville Town Common.
