GREENVILLE, NC- The Little League Softball® World Series returns for the third year to Greenville August 6 – 13, 2023 at Stallings Stadium at Elm Street Park! To kick off this year’s tournament the public is invited to come out to the Opening Ceremony on Saturday, August 5 from 6pm – 8pm at the Greenville Town Common to welcome the players, coaches, umpires, families, media, and more to Greenville-Pitt County!

This year's tournament will feature 12 teams from across the United States, Asia-Pacific, Canada, Europe-Africa, and Latin America. Admission is free, and all games will be broadcast on the ESPN platforms, including ESPN, ESPN 2, ESPNews, and ESPN+, with the final championship game being shown on ABC for the first time in the event’s history. This year’s event will also feature the first ever professional softball event with the AU Pro Games at the LLSWS, bringing Athletes Unlimited Softball players to Greenville to interact with LLSWS participants on August 8 before a historic doubleheader at ECU on August 9.

5:45pm- Athletes will line up for walk-up songs and introductions (Greenville Toyota Amphitheater stage)

6:00pm- Opening Ceremonies start

  • Mayor P.J. Connelly & City Manager Ann Wall will throw 2023 LLSWS Ceremonial First Pitch

6:45pm – 8pm- Games, Activities, Music, Dancing & Food Trucks: Collaborative Art Activity, Dunk-An-Ump- Umpire Dunking Booth, Fairy Hair, Photo Booth, Riverside Recreation kayak and peddle boat rides, cornhole, giant Jenga, Connect Four, and more!  Food Trucks will Include: The Jerk Truck, The Burp Wagon, Uncle Fred’s, Last Call Pizza, and East Carolina Italian Ice

This international and televised tournament is estimated to bring $1.2 million in economic impact to the Greenville-Pitt County community.
